Halcyon is two filmmakers based in Marrickville. One of us stays with you; the other follows the day around you: the speeches, your nan on the dance floor, the light going pink over the paddock.
We don't stage scenes or ask you to walk back and forth. You'll mostly forget we're there, and that's when the good parts happen.
Ellie & Sam
Six weddings from the last two seasons, from the mountains to the harbour.
Every package includes the full ceremony.
Four to ten minutes, cut like a short film to licensed music. Easy to share with family who couldn't make it.
Filmed on two cameras, kept at full length and cleaned up for sound. The bit people rewatch the most, years later.
Flown by a licensed pilot when the venue, the weather and the airspace allow. Never during the vows.
Small microphones on the celebrant and one of you, so every word is clear even with wind and waves.
Stream and download in full quality. Yours to keep, with no ads and no expiry date.
Both of us film every wedding. The difference is how long we stay and how much you get back.
Prices include GST. Travel within 100 km of the Sydney CBD is included. A 30% deposit holds your date.
We film one wedding a day, so Saturdays in spring and autumn go first. Check the date, then tell us a little about it.
Sample only. Try to see a booked date.
Eight to ten weeks after the wedding. If you’ve booked Documentary, a one-minute teaser arrives within two weeks so you have something to share sooner.
Yes, from a licensed library. Every song is cleared, so your film won't be muted when you post it. If you want a song from the radio, we'll keep it in the documentary edit as it played on the night.
Within 100 km of the Sydney CBD is included, which covers the Blue Mountains, the Southern Highlands and most of the coast. Further afield, we add travel at cost, and for interstate or overseas weddings, flights and a room.
Very little. We'll take you away for ten minutes of portraits at golden hour, and that's it. The rest of the day is yours.
We bring weather covers and wide lenses for small spaces. Some of our favourite films have rain in them.
