Our approach

A calm hand, from the first venue visit to the last song.

We’re a small Sydney team planning around twenty weddings a year, from the harbour to the Hunter and down the South Coast. That number is deliberate: it means we answer your emails the same day and know every supplier on your run sheet by name.

Some couples hand us everything. Others have done most of it and want someone steady on the day. Either way, you get the same planner from first call to final farewell.

Four settings, four very different days

Couples’ names are kept private. Here’s what we were working with.

Rows of white chairs either side of a timber aisle on a lawn by the water Pittwater · Garden ceremony

A lawn by the water, ninety chairs and a timber aisle

Ceremony on the lawn at four, canapés on the jetty, dinner in a marquee we had to fit between two old figs.

Dark timber chairs lined up beside woven rugs leading to a floral arch among vines Hunter Valley · Among the vines

Rugs down the rows and an arch of dried flowers

An autumn ceremony between the vines, then a long lunch in the cellar door. Two buses from Newcastle, both on time.

Dark chairs and tall flower arrangements on a grassy headland above the sea South Coast · On the headland

Forty guests, one headland, a very windy forecast

We weighted every arrangement, moved the vows forward half an hour, and had the indoor plan ready. Didn’t need it.

A timber barn interior with draped fabric, a chandelier and string lights Southern Highlands · The barn

Draped ceilings, warm light and a dance floor till late

A winter wedding with fires lit at both ends. We handled the hire, the styling and the late-night shuttle back to Bowral.

How it works

The year, & the day

A typical full-planning timeline. Shorter engagements work too; we compress it.

  1. 12 months out

    Foundations

Budget, guest numbers and a feel for the day. We shortlist venues and visit them with you.

  2. 6 months out

    The team

Photographer, florist, caterer, music. We brief each one and keep every contract in one place.

  3. 1 month out

    The detail

Final numbers, seating, run sheet. Every supplier gets the same timings, down to the minute.

  4. The week

    Confirmations

Rehearsal, weather check, deliveries booked. You hand us the boxes and stop thinking about it.

  5. The day

    We run it

First on site, last to leave. You’ll see us only when you need to.

Questions

Good to know

Can you recommend suppliers?

Yes. We keep a short list of photographers, florists, caterers, celebrants and musicians we’ve worked with more than once, across a range of budgets. We’ll suggest two or three for each role and you choose. If you already have someone in mind, we’re happy to work with them.

Do you take commissions from suppliers?

No. We don’t take supplier commissions or referral fees. Our only income is the fee you pay us, so a recommendation is just that.

What happens if it rains?

Every outdoor wedding we plan has a wet-weather plan written into the run sheet from the start, not the week before. We confirm marquee or indoor holds with the venue, set a decision time (usually 10am the day before), and tell every supplier the same thing at once.

How far ahead should we book?

For full planning, twelve to eighteen months is ideal. Spring Saturdays go first. For on-the-day coordination, three to six months is usually fine, though it’s worth checking your date sooner.

Do you travel outside Sydney?

Often. The Hunter Valley, Southern Highlands, Blue Mountains and South Coast are all regular for us. Travel and accommodation are added at cost, and we’ll quote them up front.
