Maison Odile

Bridal gowns & alterationsPaddington
The boutique

One bride at a time, upstairs in a light-filled room off William Street.

We keep around eighty gowns, chosen for how they move and how they’re made rather than how they photograph on a hanger. Every appointment is private, every fitting is done in-house, and the person who pins your hem is the one who sews it.

Five silhouettes

Start with a shape, not a label. Most brides try three or four of these before one feels obvious.

Questions

Before you come in

What sizes do you carry?

Our samples are sizes 10 to 16, and we clip or pin them so you can see the shape. Gowns are ordered in your measurements from size 4 to 30. If you’d like to try samples in 18 to 24, tell us when you book and we’ll have them ready.

Do you have a sample sale?

Twice a year, in February and August. Ex-sample gowns are sold as they are, from A$900, by appointment over one weekend. Leave your email at the boutique and we’ll let you know the dates.

How do deposits work?

A 50% deposit places your order; the balance is due at your first fitting. Because each gown is cut to your measurements, deposits can’t be refunded once the order is placed. Alterations are paid at the final fitting.

My wedding is less than six months away.

That’s fine. Some gowns can be made in 8 to 12 weeks for a rush fee from A$350, and a handful of our samples are for sale off the rail. Mention your date when you book and we’ll pull those first.

Can I bring a gown bought somewhere else?

Yes. We alter gowns from anywhere, as long as there’s at least eight weeks before the wedding. Book an alterations consult rather than a gown appointment.
